FRISCO, Texas (September 8, 2026) - To begin the final series of the regular season, the Frisco RoughRiders fell 8-2 to the Wichita Wind Surge Tuesday at Equity Bank Park.

In the first inning, Wichita (28-36, 52-78) jumped ahead 1-0 on a solo home run for Caden Kendle off Ismael Agreda (0-1). Sebastian Walcott countered to make it 2-1 Frisco (31-33, 70-62) on a two-run homer in the third.

The Wind Surge roared right back and took a 4-2 lead when Kendle cranked a three-run home run – his second of the game. Then, they extended the lead with three runs in the fourth to go ahead 7-2.

Wichita made it 8-2 on an RBI single for Graham Brown in the bottom of the eighth inning, before Sam Armstrong locked down a four-inning save, his first of the season.

Notes to Know:

Walcott now has six home runs in his last eight games and nine in his first 32 games with Frisco so far this season.
Zach Bryant fired three innings in relief and did not surrender an earned run. He has pitched two or more innings in seven straight appearances.

Frisco can even the series with a win Wednesday and will hand the ball to RHP Ben Anderson (3-6, 6.85) against RHP Preston Johnson (1-3, 3.86) in a 6:35 p.m. start from Equity Bank Park.
