How to Participate

Option 1: On-Campus Assembly

The Gwinnett Stripers mascot, Chopper, and his friends at the Gwinnett Stripers will host an on-campus, 30-minute "pep rally" style education assembly to get students excited about the "Hooked on Books" reading program!

Assemblies will run from January 12th to March 16th, 2026.
Materials to track student progress will be provided to schools before their chosen assembly date.
The deadline to submit completed reading program materials is April 1st, 2026.

*Available to schools within a 15-mile radius of the Gwinnett Stripers' stadium.

Option 2: Virtual Participation

Important Dates & Info

November 3rd, 2025: School Registration Opens
January 12th, 2026: Reading Program Officially Begins for Participating Students
January 12th-March 16th: The Gwinnett Stripers staff and Mascot are Available for On-Campus Assembly Bookings
April 1st, 2026: Final Submission Date for Completed Reading Materials

In order to be considered for an on-campus assembly, the participating school must be within a 15-mile radius of the Gwinnett Stripers. Schools outside of the 15-mile radius are subject to an appearance fee. On-campus assembly participation must take place between January 12th and March 16th, are subject to availability, and are not guaranteed.
