This is Shelly Haenggi’s 13th season with the RockHounds. She joined the organization in 2013 and oversaw marketing, client relations, and operational management. Shelly was named General Manager of the club in 2023.
Haenggi enjoys building meaningful relationships with the team’s partners and fans. She is passionate about creating memorable experiences at the ballpark, focusing on delivering exceptional value and high-quality family entertainment. Shelly leads the RockHounds team with pride in the organization’s revered purpose and community involvement and prioritizes building on them. She began serving on the Midland Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2025.
Before joining our franchise, Shelly served as Marketing Director for the Midland Reporter-Telegram and the Hearst Corporation, New York. Before moving to Midland, she served as President and CEO of a multimedia advertising and marketing agency in Victoria, managing clients across professional sports, healthcare, financial services, real estate development, and the arts.
Shelly Haenggi, a Montana native, spent several years in Los Angeles, in marketing at Princess Cruises’ U.S. corporate headquarters and as creative director at an esteemed full-service advertising agency in Sacramento.
FUN FACT: The RockHounds won the Texas League Championship each of Shelly’s first FOUR years with the team – 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017! Now that’s fun!
