Decisive Plays: Ian Mejia was working on an efficient start to his night when the power quickly went out at the ballpark. After a 90-minute delay, play resumed and Columbus took a 2-0 lead on a run scored by Owen Carey and a sacrifice fly from Luke Waddell. Pensacola responded with a solo home run from Payton Green in the third inning to cut the deficit to 2-1. Eric Hartman helped Columbus stretch the lead to 3-1 in the fifth inning with an RBI single and Williams connected on a solo home run (1) in the sixth inning to make it 4-1.
