Orthopedic Surgery
Richard “Rick” Seagrave III, MD is a Springfield native who returned to the area to join Mercy Orthopedics as a Sports Medicine fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree from Drury University, his medical degree from Saint Louis University, and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
As part of his sports medicine fellowship at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic-Denver, Dr. Seagrave provided medical care for the Denver Broncos Football Club, Colorado Rockies, and various high schools throughout the area. He specializes in sports medicine, treating athletic injuries to people of all ages. His particular areas of interest include hip arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, multi-ligament knee injuries, rotator cuff repairs, shoulder stability procedures, and many more procedures of the hip, knee, and shoulder.
Dr. Seagrave currently is a team physician for Missouri State Athletics, Springfield Cardinals, Evangel Athletics, and Springfield Public Schools.
