Every year, the fine folks at MLB Pipeline put together a list of the top 30 prospects for every MLB organization. The Blue Jays list just dropped this week, and it’s full of familiar names that C’s fans will remember from the last few seasons. 15 – half of the list – are Canadians alums, and five others will likely make their Vancouver debut at some point in 2026. Let’s break down who’s who and what’s what.
C’s alumni in the top ten...
#1 RHP Trey Yesavage (2025)
Unless you’ve been on a yea r-long sojourn deep in the Territories with no internet access, you know about Trey Yesavage. He took the baseball world by storm last year by dominating at four different MiLB levels – including a four-start stint with the C’s at the end of May and into June – before making his MLB debut in September and electrifying the Blue Jays’ postseason run. Because of his limited experience at the big league level, he still is considered a prospect and will be in the mix of AL Rookie of the Year if he continues to post the numbers we’re used to seeing from him.
#3 SS Arjun Nimmala (2025)
When Nimmala joined the C’s to start 2025, he was ranked as the #1 prospect in the organization. He balled out in April and May, but his numbers started to slide the rest of the way. Even still, he lowered his chase rate by 10% compared to 2024 and played in more games than any other Canadian last season. He did all of that in his age 19 season, making him one of the youngest players in all of High-A. He’s added 20 pounds of muscle since the end of last summer and will likely start the season in Double-A.
#5 LHP Ricky Tiedemann (2022)
Another former top Blue Jays prospect, Tiedemann joined the C’s in 2022 and was an electric addition to the rotation. He posted a 2.39 ERA in eight starts for the Canadians and struck out 54 in 37.2 innings before wrapping up the year in Double-A. Injuries have limited him to 23 starts since 2023 – he missed all of last year while rehabbing Tommy John surgery – and will slowly ramp back up in 2026. While his star isn’t shining as brightly as it once was, there is still plenty to be excited about when it comes to the 23-year-old southpaw.
#6 RHP Gage Stanifer (2025)
For as much press as Yesavage got last season, Stanifer managed to carve out his own reputation despite pitching in his shadow for much of the year. The flamethrowing right-hander was excellent during his tenure in Vancouver, posting a 3.20 ERA in 18 games (14 starts) while mowing down hitters to the tune of 114 strikeouts in 76 innings of work. After finishing the year in Double-A, he’s pitching with the big league club at Spring Training and will have a chance to crack Triple-A for the first time when camp breaks at the end of the month.
