Bags & Purses: To provide a safer environment for the public, and significantly expedite guest entry into HODGETOWN, our clear bag policy states:

  • Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC.
  • Prohibited bags include but are not limited to: non-clear purses, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, non-approved seat cushions or seatbacks, computer bags, diaper bags, binocular cases, and camera bags.
  • Diapers and other baby supplies can be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, would be allowed to carry an approved clear bag into the venue.

Ball in Play: Any guest caught interfering with a ball in play, throwing objects onto the field/seating bowl, or going onto the playing field, will be ejected from the ballpark and is subject to possible arrest and/or banishment from HODGETOWN.

Batting Cages: Home and away batting cages are located on the 3rd base side of the concourse. They can be viewed from the sidewalk outside the ballpark, as well as inside the ballpark from the concourse. No one is permitted inside the batting cages at any time.

Broadcast Partners: The voice of the Amarillo Sod Poodles is Zach Goodman, a former collegiate baseball player entering his second full-season in the booth in 2026. All 138 Amarillo Sod Poodles will be broadcast live on the radio and will also be streamed live over the internet with Listen Live links available on SodPoodles.com.

Directions: The Sod Poodles are located in downtown Amarillo across the street from City Hall. HODGETOWN's address is 715 S Buchanan St, Amarillo, TX 79101.

Donation Requests: We take pride in our support of nonprofit organizations and schools both locally and across the country. All donation requests will be reviewed within two weeks. The organization requesting the donation will be contacted by email, regardless of whether or not the request is approved. https://amarilloprobaseball.approveforgood.com/

Dugouts: The Sod Poodles dugout is located on the 3rd base side of the field. The visiting team's dugout is located on the 1st base side.

Elevators: There is one elevator behind Home Plate located in the glass case. The elevator will take fans up to the Fairly Group Club Level and down to the dugout suites. Fans must present a ticket to these corresponding areas to the elevator usher.

Employment: Anyone interested in working for the Sod Poodles can pick up an application from our Executive Offices located at 715 S Buchanan St, Amarillo, TX 79101. Applications can also be filled out online using the link https://www.milb.com/amarillo/forms/apply. The Sod Poodles take applications all year round, but will hire on an as necessary basis. Applying does not guarantee employment.

Entrance Gates: Entry Gates are located in the Home Plate Rotunda (southwest corner) and left field corner (northwest corner). The Season Ticket Holder Gate, located at the left field gate, opens 30 minutes before all the other gates, unless otherwise noted on our website and social media pages.

Family Restrooms: Located to the left of Panhandle Pizza concession stand behind home plate.

Fan Mail: Letters to Sod Poodles players or mascot should be addressed to the intended party and mailed to: 715 S Buchanan St, Amarillo, TX 79101.

Field Dimensions: Left-field line 325', left-field alley: 352', center-field: 405', right-center field: 411', right-field alley: 352', right-field line: 325'.

First Aid: If you are in need of medical assistance, please contact the nearest Sod Poodle employee, or you can find assistance at the First Aid Room located next to the Barnyard concession stand behind 1st base.

Foul Balls: Please be alert of foul balls and other "debris" that may come into the seating area from the playing field. All fans are subject to the possibility of being hit by a flying object from the field. These objects are traveling at fast speeds and may be very dangerous. Please keep any foul ball you catch as a souvenir. Immediately report any injuries to the nearest Sod Poodle staff member. The Sod Poodles are not responsible for any fan being hit by a foul ball or other debris.

Foul Language: All events are to be family-friendly, and as a result, all abusive and foul language is prohibited at the ballpark. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in ejection from HODGETOWN.

Fundraising:

  • Charity Spotlight: The Amarillo Sod Poodles are proud to showcase local Amarillo and Texas Panhandle charities throughout the 2021 season at HODGETOWN, known as the "Charity Spotlight". In honor of the hard work charities put in the local community, the Sod Poodles will provide these organizations with an opportunity to market themselves and raise awareness for their causes at HODGETOWN during the 2021 season and FREE of charge.   • Concessions: Diamond Creations, the Amarillo Sod Poodles' food and beverage provider, is happy to provide a fundraising opportunity for organizations by working concession stands at HODGETOWN.
  • Non-profit or 501(c)(3) groups, sporting clubs, cheer groups, girl and boy scout troops to church and school organizations are welcome to join. To fundraise, groups provide individuals to work in a concession stand, food and beverage at a cart, or sell items throughout the stadium crowd and in turn, the group earns money for their organization. Groups are not limited on how many games they work throughout the 70 home-game season. All dates will be filled on a first come, first served basis.   • Fundraising Tickets: Non-profit organizations have the opportunity to fundraise with the Amarillo Sod Poodles! Purchase Sod Poodles tickets in Zone D or E for half off the box office day-of-game priced tickets and sell them for face value in the community! Your group receives the profit from all tickets sold and get videoboard recognition! *Only available for Monday-Thursday home games - date restrictions may apply*

Ice Cream and Snow Cones: A Dip-N-Dots and snow cone portable is located outside of the kids play area on the 1st base side of the concourse. Hard ice cream and sundaes are available at the Feed & Seed Concession stand on the third base side near the Home Plate Rotunda entrance.

Other Events: HODGETOWN was built as a Multi-Purpose Event Venue (MPEV), and therefore will host other events than baseball games. These events may include corporate meetings, weddings, concerts, holiday parties, and more. For more information, contact our Groups Department at (806) 803-7762.

Outside Food and Beverage: Fans are not permitted to enter HODGETOWN with outside food or beverage of any kind. Containers such as picnic baskets, coolers or ice chests are not permitted. You are allowed to bring one (1) 16 oz. bottled water if the label is removed and the bottle is unopened. HODGETOWN security reserves the right to inspect any package or container coming into the ballpark.

Questions: If a fan ever has a question during an event, there is a Fan Services area near the Homeplate rotunda. In addition, we have several full-time staff members walking around that will be able to assist you!

Rained Out Games: If a game is postponed or cancelled in the event of inclement weather, your ticket stub will serve as a raincheck to any future regular season game during the current season, subject to availability. Tickets must be redeemed in person at the Box Office. Please pay attention to the team's website and social media for further information in these instances.

Re-Entry: In order to leave HODGETOWN while the game is going on, in hopes of returning to the ballpark, all fans must have their hands stamped upon exiting. Fans without their hands stamped will not be permitted back into the ballpark. Please note that on giveaway days, exiting the ballpark is not permitted until all giveaways have been given out. All fans who renter must go through security screening again upon re-entry. HODGETOWN Security does have the right to refuse re-entry of a fan if they are inebriated or not following Fan Code of Conduct.

Restrooms: Concourse level restrooms are located by the 1st base stairwell, in between Feed and Seed concession stand and batting cages, and next to the left field entry gate. Club level restrooms are located between the elevator and Suite 209. Ground level restrooms are located in the tunnel between the Visiting and Auxiliary locker rooms.

Umbrellas: Umbrellas are permitted inside of the stadium, but are not to be used or open in any seating area as they create an obstructed view for other guests, and can create a danger with foul balls flying into the stands.
