INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Indians return to Victory Field for the final homestand of the 2026 regular season with a six-game series beginning tonight at 6:35 PM against the Omaha Storm Chasers.
Indy heads into this week’s series at Victory Field 1.0 game back of Rochester (Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals) and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (New York Yankees) in the second half standings in the International League with a 36-27 record. If Indy ends the regular season on Sunday, Sept. 20 in first place, it will play at the first-half winner (Memphis Redbirds) for a best-of-three League Championship Series beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 22 in Memphis. The winners of each LCS will advance to the Triple-A National Championship Game for a single-elimination contest to crown the club atop the highest level of the minors. Memphis (IL, 47-28) and Las Vegas (Pacific Coast League, 44-29) were the first-half winners.
The Omaha Storm Chasers come to Indy after splitting a home series with St. Paul last week. The Storm Chasers enter the week at 29-32 in the second half. Omaha will have to deal with Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder/first baseman Ryan O’Hearn, who is beginning a major league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Indy.
The best fans in minor league baseball will experience one final homestand in 2026 at Victory Field, featuring Fan Appreciation Weekend, presented by Elements Financial and Spokenote, which will be highlighted by a Mystery Promo Item Ticket Package. When fans buy this special ticket package for any game during the final homestand, they will receive mystery promotional giveaway items from earlier games this season.
