Brian is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has guided teams to industry-leading results over the course of several years in leadership roles around Minor League Baseball.
Brian began his career in MiLB with the Aberdeen IronBirds from 2011-2013. His efforts in Aberdeen impressed the State College Spikes, who hired Brian as their Director of Sales. From 2013-2016, Brian increased total ticket and sponsorship revenue for three consecutive years and broke the team’s single game attendance record on five separate occasions.
In 2016, Brian earned the role of Vice President of Ticket Sales for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. While spearheading the team’s ticket department, he broke nearly every ticket revenue record in team history and once again raised season and group ticket sales each year. Brian helped the IronPigs secure the 2019 Larry MacPhail Award, which recognizes the team with the best promotional effort in all of Minor League Baseball.
In 2019, the IronPigs promoted DeAngelis to Vice President of Sales. He delivered again, leading the team to an all-time franchise revenue record in just one year. Brian was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2020 and was a driving force in the oversight of all aspects of the IronPigs front office.
Brian took the helm as President and General Manager of the Winston-Salem Dash, the High-A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, in 2021. Under his leadership, the team achieved record-breaking attendance and revenue in 2023—the highest since the Dash’s inaugural season in 2010. He has navigated several new fan-facing improvements, which include the additions of outfield bars in 2023 and 2024, a new LED Wall in 2024, and a new video board and highway marquee set to debut during the 2025 season.
A champion of creativity and innovation, Brian has driven the Dash to three Golden Bobblehead nominations, Minor League Baseball’s most prestigious award for top promotional activities and events. In 2024, the Dash's Winston-Salem Hype Hens jersey was recognized by Major League Baseball as one of the top seven best rebrands in MiLB, earning national attention on MLB Network.
In his free time Brian likes to spend time with his wife Erika, children Gianna, Lorenzo, and Sicilia, and his dog. He also is an avid Michigan State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. You can follow Brian on Twitter at @AngeloDeAngelo.
